What is Women in the Pause?

Women in the Pause is a nonprofit community for women navigating perimenopause and menopause who want science backed information, real talk, and good company. We host live expert sessions, Q&As, and give you a portal of curated, evidence based resources so you don’t have to piece it together from random Google tabs.

Women in their late 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond who are: Wondering if their symptoms are “just stress” or peri/menopause Confused about HRT vs non hormonal options Tired of being dismissed or told, “that’s just aging” Craving honest, non cringey conversation with women who get it If you’ve ever thought, “Why did no one tell me about this?” you’re in the right place.

Because Google gives you volume, not clarity. Inside Women in the Pause you get: Curated, science backed education instead of conflicting headlines Live access to experts you can ask questions Real stories from women in the same season so you feel less alone Checklists, guides, and replays you can come back to, not just screenshots on your phone We cut through noise so you can walk into appointments informed and confident. This is exactly what a strong offer does: removes confusion, increases perceived likelihood of success, and makes the choice easier.

No. We don’t diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Women in the Pause is an education and community space: We help you understand the science in plain language We help you get clear on your questions and priorities We encourage you to partner with qualified clinicians for your personal care Think of us as the informed friend + toolkit you wish you had before you saw your provider.

You get access to: Live online events with vetted experts (menopause, mental health, sleep, movement, etc.) Replays in a members only portal, so you can watch on your own time Practical guides on common questions (symptoms, HRT, non hormonal options, talking to your doctor) A private community space for real talk without the cringe or shame

Yes. If you’re in your late 30s or 40s and starting to notice changes (sleep, mood, cycles, weight, energy), this is the perfect time to learn what’s coming and what to watch for. Plenty of women join while they’re “peri curious” so they’re not blindsided later.

We built this knowing you have a full life: Live events are recorded Most sessions are 60 minutes You can watch replays in small chunks Tools are practical, not homework heavy The goal is not to give you more to do; it’s to make everything else (appointments, decisions, conversations) easier.

Totally normal. Our community ground rules: No shame, no judgment No “one right way” Share only what you’re comfortable with You can lurk and just listen until you feel ready Most women start quietly and end up saying, “These are the first people I’ve felt safe talking to about this.”

As a nonprofit, our goal is access and impact, not profit. We happily take donations for our 503c and will provide you with a receipt for your taxes. This helps pay for our events.
